Unit Objectives:

The student will:

  1. Participate in Hoops and Plyometrics; Help Me Tag; Triangle Tag; Partner Crows and Cranes, and Pickleball Tag demonstrating agility, speed and cooperative skills during the Introductory Activity following rules established by the instructor.
  2. Participate in an Interval Training during Fitness to improve strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular respiratory and muscular endurance.
  3. Participate in Mini-Challenge Course during Fitness to improve muscular strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular respiratory endurance.
  4. Participate in Pickleball balancing ball bouncing drills while locomoting using form demonstrated by the instructor.
  5. Demonstrate backhand skills hitting to a partner across the net using form demonstrated by the instructor.
  6. Demonstrate lobbing to a partner across the net using form demonstrated by the instructor.
  7. Demonstrate forehand, backhand, lobbing, smashing, and serving skills while playing Pickleball following the rules of the game listed on the handout.
  8. Participate in Balance Relay demonstrating the skill of balancing the pickleball on a paddle while locomoting across the floor during the game portion of class.
  9. Participate in Bouncing Ball Relay demonstrating the skill of balancing the pickleball on a paddle while locomoting across the floor during the game portion of class.
  10. Play Hoops on the Ground demonstrating cooperative skills and agility while following the rules of the game during the game portion of class.
