INSTRUCTIONS:
Students stand in a ready position facing the teacher. The teacher exclaims “feet,” and students stutter the feet quickly. Teacher moves arms and students move in that direction.

If there is a delay in starting an exercise, the squad should walk or jog. This keeps students active while the leader is thinking of an exercise.
TEACHING HINTS:
Divide the class into groups of four to five students. Each group is given a task card that lists eight to ten exercises. One of the group members begins as the leader and leads the group through an exercise. Each time an exercise is completed, the card is passed to a new leader.
Use alternating intervals of music to signal exercising (30 seconds) with silence (5-8 seconds) to indicate passing the card.
Encourage self-responsibility and the importance of being a leader.

Hitting from a Tee. Demonstrate skill.
Partners rotate hitting wiffle balls off a tee and into a fence. Each student will hit 5 balls then change rolls.
Demonstrate the Soft Toss Drill: Partners will rotate tossing and hitting wiffle balls into a fence. One person tosses a wiffle ball at waist level and the partner hits it into a fence.
Review Run, Throw, Catch drill from yesterday and
Throwing and Catching drill from yesterday.
TEACHING HINTS:
Use Toe-to-Toe to create partners. Combine 3 – 4 sets of partners to create groups for stations.
Scattered formation where student can view demonstration.
One student will place a wiffle ball on a tee and the other will hit the ball into a fence. Hitter retrieves balls.
Each student will hit 5 balls and then change roles.
Hitter retrieves balls.
Assign groups to stations.
Signal rotation at equal intervals.
