Two teams huddle on their half of the field. Each team decides which of the three choices (paper, scissors, or rock) they will reveal when the game begins. The teams come out to midcourt line and face each other with one foot on the line. The teacher counts: “one, two, three, show.” The teams reveal their group decision on the word “show” with the appropriate hand signal. Members of the winning team chase members of the losing team and try to tag them before they reach a safe zone, which is about 10 to 20 yards from the starting line. A person who is tagged must switch teams. After each round, team members huddle again and decide their next choice.
TEACHING HINTS:
Use Toe to Toe technique; then split class into 2 teams
Set boundaries with cones. Create a safe zone about 10-20 yards from the starting line.
The teacher or a student leader counts: “one, two, three, show.”
