INSTRUCTIONS:
Continuity exercises can be done in squad formation or scatter formation. Because each student has a jump rope, students must have plenty of room to avoid hitting each other. Performers alternate between rope jumping and exercises. Rope jumping is done for timed episodes with music to help maintain the rhythm. At the signal to stop rope jumping, students quickly drop the rope and move into position for the exercise. Selected exercises should be performed in a down position with a leader who says, “Ready,” and the students respond, “One-two,” while performing the exercise. For each repetition, students wait until the command “Ready” is given. Students are allowed to monitor their own speed and intensity.
