Unit Objectives:

The student will:

  1. Demonstrate agility, creativity, and cooperation while participating in the Introductory Activities.
  2. Execute various locomotor movements called out by the instructor during the Rubber Band Introductory Activity.
  3. Demonstrate cooperation with a partner during the Entanglement Activity.
  4. Perform locomotor movements to a beat while following the movements of a leader during the Introductory Activity.
  5. Demonstrate rhythmic movement and coordination with others in Rhythmic Running activity.
  6. Demonstrate mirroring and cooperation skills while working with a partner.
  7. Demonstrate leg, upper body strength, and teamwork skills while playing Cageball Kickover.
  8. Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, remember movement patterns and simultaneously run, bend, and recover during the Introductory Activity.
  9. Participate in the Fitness Cookie Jar Exchange to improve all components of fitness.
  10. Participate in the Racetrack Fitness to improve fitness.
  11. Perform the Continuity Exercises as directed by the instructor to improve his fitness level.
  12. Participate in Interval Training to improve his overall fitness levels.
  13. Participate in Aerobic workouts to improve her endurance, strength, and flexibility.
  14. Demonstrate hoop-rolling ability while running.
  15. Demonstrate agility, creativity and cooperation during the Over, Under and Around activity.
  16. Participate in continuity exercises to improve fitness and demonstrate moving to a beat.
  17. Practice the ready position and the forehand stroke as demonstrated in class by the instructor.
  18. Practice the backhand stroke using form demonstrated by the instructor.
  19. Practice half-lob served using form demonstrated by the instructor in class.
  20. Practice the fault and out serves using form demonstrated by the instructor.
  21. Practice the back-wall return shot using form demonstrated by the instructor.
  22. Practice the Power and “2” Serves using form demonstrated by the instructor.
  23. Demonstrate the Pinch Shots using the Drop Hit Ball Drill demonstrated by the instructor.
  24. Complete the Written Exam on Racquetball scoring 70% or better.
  25. Cooperate with other students while participating in the Mass Stand Up Game.
  26. Demonstrate cooperation and agility during the game “Entanglement.”
  27. Demonstrate agility, cooperation, and speed and dodging during the Addition Tag Game.
  28. Demonstrate Frisbee throwing and catching skills during the Frisbee 21 Game.
  29. Demonstrate skills learned in class during the Skills Test to the satisfaction of the instructor.
  30. Play singles games up to 5 points using skills demonstrated in class.
  31. Play racquetball demonstrating the rules and skills taught by the instructor.
