INSTRUCTIONS:
One person gets in position on all fours while the other stands alongside, ready to begin the movement challenge. Challenge is to move over, go under, and run around partner a certain number of times. For example, move over your partner 5 times, go under 8 times, and run around 13 times.
TEACHING HINTS:
Use “elbow-to-elbow” management technique to create partners.
When the task is completed, partners change positions and the challenge is repeated.

Use Whistle Mixer to create groups of 5.
Direct students to work as a team to “hunt” for the exercise space/area.
Assign each group a different starting point.
Give each group a “Fitness Hunt” Card.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Backhand Stroke – Give Students Task Sheet 3:
Demonstrate backhand grips (Eastern & Continental). Backhand position for hitting the ball.
Demonstrate ball contact areas:
1. Center of body
2. Front of lead leg
3. Back of lead leg
Practice:
Upon completion of the Task Sheet, two students at a time are to practice the cross-court rally drill. One student hits a forehand while the other hit a backhand. The two other students are to stand outside the court.
TEACHING HINTS:
Demonstrate the movement pattern from the ready position to the backhand position.
Demonstrate the back swing, backhand stroke and follow through. No ball!
Review hitting off lead leg.
Demonstrate drop hit ball drill – 3 contact areas.
Demonstrate rally drill – backhand only.
Demonstrate cross-court rally drill-forehand/backhand.
Direct four students to go to each court and follow the task sheets.
Students change roles after five rallies.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Two players try to keep the Frisbee from being touched by the third person who is lined up between them. Rotate the center after 20 seconds.
TEACHING HINTS:
Put students in groups of three with one Frisbee.
Players may not run and move around the area.
If a poor throw is made and not caught, the center person can choose to opt out of the center position.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Review elements of the backhand stroke.
What parts of the body does jump rope work on?
What kind of a racquetball game is played that involves two players?
Students create cheer.
