Participate in Ball Gymnastics cooperating with classmates and following the instructions given by the teacher.
Participate in a Fitness Scavenger Hunt during the Fitness portion of class as presented by the teacher involving locomotor, strength, and flexibility activities.
Play soccer using skills taught in class, follow the game rules, and cooperate with teammates during the lesson focus portion of class.
Be able to combine skills learned throughout unit and implement them into a game.
Demonstrate a positive team spirit while playing soccer.

Introductory Activity (2-3 Minutes)
On signal begin activity directed by teacher. Activities: tap ball with feet; jump over ball side to side; jump over ball front and back. On signal, get with a partner and have 1 ball (back-to-back). Hand ball over and under, around the sides, etc.
1 ball per student.
Fitness Development (8-12 Minutes)
Fitness Scavenger Hunt
Ideas for Fitness Hunt Cards: 1. Run to each corner of the Gym and perform 15 curl-ups at each corner. 2. Run to the bleachers and perform step-ups. 3. Carioca to cones set up and touch each cone. 4. Jog to the tumbling mats and perform stretches listed on the station cards. 5. Jog to the jump rope station and start rope jumping. 6. Jog backwards to touch 2 walls. 7. Jog forwards and touch 4 colored lines on the courts. 8. Skip to the sit-up, push-up station. Follow station card instructions. 9. Slide to the jumping jack station. 10. Skip to the jump rope station.
Use Whistle Mixer to create groups of 5.
Direct students to work as a team to “hunt” for the exercise space/area.
