Week #1: Weight Training Lesson Plan 4 - Thursday

EQUIPMENT:

  • Task Sheets #12-15
  • Cones and beanbags for Coffee Grinder Square
  • Equipment for Fitness Scavenger Hunt
  • Bases /Bean bags for Coffee Grinder Square


OUTCOMES: 

Upon completion of this lesson, you will:

  1. Demonstrate the meaning of the term “repetition” as it applies to weight training.
  2. Demonstrate the meaning of the term “set” as it applies to weight training.
  3. Demonstrate the meaning of the term “cadence” as it applies to weight training
  4. Identify the term of full range of motion and apply it to your workouts.
  5. State the importance of breathing during exercise.
  6. You will perform one set of ten repetitions of bench press while using your maximum amount of weight and proper form.
  7. You will perform one set of ten repetitions of lat pull downs while using your maximum amount of weight and proper form.
