Demonstrate the ability to work in groups and properly perform various exercises at each Circuit Training station.
Demonstrate the correct techniques for dribbling a soccer ball with both inside and outside of both feet.
Demonstrate the correct techniques for trapping a soccer ball using form demonstrated by the instructor.
Demonstrate the ability to work with a partner when playing Frisbee Keepaway and use form demonstrated in class.
NATIONAL STANDARDS: 1 – 5
Introductory Activity (2-3 Minutes)
Object is to tag other players without being tagged. Players that get tagged must sit where they are and wait for 10 seconds. They can re-join game. If two people tag each other at the same time both must sit down.
Every player is a tagger.
Fitness Development (8-12 Minutes)
Dribbling using inside and outside of both feet.
The doer will dribble the ball 10 times each with the inside, outside, left and right feet to the cone and back, then switch places with your partner.
Repeat 5 times.
Inside Kick and Trap: Demonstrate skill and drill.
Use the inside of your foot and pass the ball to your partner standing 10’ away from you. Partner returns ball to you. Repeat 5 times.
Place cones on field 10 feet apart for practice areas.
Use Back- to – Back to create partners.
Encourage students to give their partners constructive feedback.
